The Physics Institutes can be reached by tram #18 (stop “Eifelwall”), tram #9 (stop “Universität”), RB48, RB26 or RE5 (stop “Köln Süd” (this station has no elevator) as shown in the maps displaying the venue.
For your convenience, all participants of the HRMS2025 will be provided with a public transportation ticket (included in the conference fee). Your personalzed public transportation ticket will be valid from August 24, 02:00 CEST to August 30, 03:00 CEST and bring you to the conference venue but also to other locations throughout the city of Cologne (price category 1b, see map below) for buses/trams and also for regional trains (RE/RB) within Cologne.

Parking
There is no parking in close vicinity to the conference venue. We recommend checking into parking opportunities close to your accommodation and use public transport to get to the venue.
Details on KVB ticket
To activate your ticket, go to https://kongressticket-koeln-kvb.ride-ticketing.de/app and follow the instructions in the pdf below. Before closing the registration site, do not forget to download the PDF version of the ticket. The ticket must be carried along when using public transport and must be shown together with your valid ID to public transport personnel upon request. An electronic version of the ticket can also be downloaded for inclusion into the cell phone wallet.
It might be worthwhile considering mobile apps such as the one of the Kölner Verkehrbetriebe” (KVB-App) or “citymapper” for easy travel within the city.
Please note that with your ticket you must not exceed the region indicated by the dotted lines indicated by “Tarifgrenze” (“tariff border”, cf. example figure on the right) at some routes.
Travel from the Airport:
If you will be flying into Cologne-Bonn airport and plan to continue to Cologne central station, using lines RE6/S19/RB27/RB26 is covered with the ticket. S19 provides service at regular 20 min intervals.
